Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Deli Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced grocery environment. You will help customers select healthy foods, prepare fresh meals, and ensure deli items are well-presented and clean.

You’ll rotate stock, prepare specials, and operate deli equipment safely to meet quality and service standards. This role emphasizes customer interaction, teamwork, and flexibility, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent with experience in grocery/food service.
• Be dependable and reliable with a positive attitude.
• Strong customer interaction and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting healthy options and prepare fresh, easy meals.
• Present, package and ensure cleanliness and proper display of deli items.
• Fill, rotate and maintain product displays; prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment (slicers, ovens, microwaves) following safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe deli area and log product shipments for quality control.
