Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Deli Clerk to assist customers with healthy meal options and ensure deli items are prepared, displayed, and maintained to high standards. You’ll handle special orders, party trays, and operate deli equipment while keeping the area clean and safe.

The role requires reliability, a friendly, team-oriented attitude, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training on safety, sanitation, and temperature controls is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a HS diploma or equivalent or relevant experience.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and customer-focused.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication and ability to follow directions in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs., up to 20 ft., without assistance.
• Stand for up to 4 hours per shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the deli area.
• Operate slicer and other deli equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety/health/food regs; obtain Food Handler permit.
• Able to work in coolers and freezers.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented; keep area clean.
• Fill, rotate, and maintain product displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment such as slicers, ovens, microwaves, scales.
• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary deli area and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
