The role focuses on high-quality customer service, accurate product prep, and teamwork in a fast-paced grocery environment. Training includes safe operation of deli equipment and adherence to health standards.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in grocery/restaurant or related field.
• Be dependable and reliable; friendly, positive attitude and able to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices and prepare fresh and easy meals.
• Ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented; maintain cleanliness of the deli area.
• Fill, rotate, and display products; prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment following company standards; keep equipment safe and clean.
• Maintain sanitary deli area; clean shelves, floors, and equipment regularly.
• Receive and inspect shipments for accuracy and quality.
