Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, LLC is seeking a Deli Clerk to join its fast-paced team. In this role you will assist customers, prepare fresh meals, and maintain a clean, safe deli area while handling slicers and other equipment.

You must be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for long shifts. Flexible scheduling including nights and holidays is required. The Store offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent, with grocery/food service experience.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Able to operate deli equipment safely and maintain cleanliness.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and have a Food Handlers permit.
• Able to work in cooler and freezer environments.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals.
• Providing a high level of customer service and ensuring deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented, while keeping the area clean.
• Filling, maintaining, and rotating products and displays.
• Preparing special orders and party trays.
• Operating meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales, and other deli equipment following company standards.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment including cleaning shelves and floors.
• Receiving, inspecting, and logging products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality.
