Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Deli Clerk to prepare and present fresh deli items while delivering excellent customer service. You will work in a fast-paced environment, operate slicers and ovens, and handle daily duties from stocking to special orders.

The role requires ability to lift up to 70 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maintain food safety standards. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required; a HS diploma or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in grocery/restaurant or related field.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Able to lift/carry product up to 70 lbs., up to 20 feet without assistance for up to 4 hours.
• Able to stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• General housekeeping and sanitation in the deli area.
• Operate slicer and deli equipment safely; maintain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing meals.
• Provide high level customer service; ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment following standards and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and log product shipments for accuracy and quality.
