Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Deli Clerk to assist customers, prepare fresh meals, and keep the deli area clean and well stocked. You’ll handle slicing, wrapping, and special orders while delivering friendly service.

Ideal candidates are dependable with a high school diploma or equivalent, flexible with shifts including nights and weekends, and able to lift up to 70 lbs. Experience in grocery or food service is a plus; safety and quality standards must be followed.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to interact with customers.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Capable of taking direction and working in a team environment.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift up to 70 lbs. and stand for extended periods; maintain a clean deli area.
• Operate deli equipment and follow safety and health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing healthy options and preparing fresh meals.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and displayed.
• Fill, rotate, and maintain products and displays in the deli.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate slicers, ovens, microwaves, scales and other deli equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe deli area and equipment; sweep and sanitize.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy and quality.
