Job summary

Imperative Logistics Group is seeking a customer service and operations support professional for an on-site role in Atlanta, GA. You will take customer orders, coordinate with airline and logistics vendors, provide pricing, and offer consultative solutions to ensure service excellence.

Responsibilities include handling bookings, tracking shipments, communicating with customers and carriers, and supporting both customers and drivers.

Qualifications

• Full Time + Overtime available: 1200 - 2100 EST (Mon-Fri).

• Able to multi-task and prioritize time and workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated; able to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Demonstrated time management, organizational skills and consistent follow-through.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Geographical knowledge of the U.S.
• Starting pay is $21.00/per hour.

Responsibilities

• Place new bookings and route shipments to meet service and maximize profit.
• Problem solve with customers and vendors (airlines and pickup / delivery agents).
• Serve as an additional point of communication for all customer service and documentation matters.
• Coordinate freight movement with carriers and agents throughout shipment life-cycle.
• Monitor shipments from order entry through delivery for on-time performance.
• Correspond with customers via phone, e-mail and website.
• Assist drivers, agents, and carriers in obtaining critical information.
• Manage and distribute a high volume of calls and emails.
• Resolve logistics service issues and escalate when necessary.
• Support new and existing customer accounts to foster business development.
• Build and maintain carrier relationships to ensure successful transportation.
• Present customers with customized, cost-efficient transportation solutions.
• Prepare quotes for customers and vendors.
• Follow procedures to achieve objectives.
• Understand freight handling characteristics and delivery requirements.
• Provide accurate order documentation with high attention to detail.
• Suggest improvements to processes where applicable.
• Analyze data via Excel spreadsheets and invoices for accuracy.
