Job summary

Avient Corporation is seeking a Logistics Specialist in Freight Payment to ensure timely and accurate processing of carrier invoices and related financial tasks. You will collaborate with GBS, audits, and 3PL partners, while supporting KPI achievement and process improvements.

Basic accounting knowledge and SAP/Excel proficiency are essential. The role demands strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of logistics experience required.
• Preferred: 1 year of accounting or accounts payable experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience working in a corporate environment with multiple business units.
• Preferred: Experience with logistics third-party partners such as warehouses, transportation planners, and freight pay partners.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize objectives impacting warehouse initiatives.
• Work accurately in external freight payment system to protect Avient's finances.
• Collaborate with internal GBS stakeholders for reimbursement of freight payment partner statements.
• Audit Coupa invoices and BPOs for accuracy.
• Establish partnerships with Finance and AP to drive improvements.
• Review dashboards and improve queue management.
• Hold 3PL freight payment team accountable for timely support.
• Process invoice payments in freight pay system and SAP.
• Post costs accurately.
• Monitor and reconcile daily financial data from partners.
• Maximize payables for working capital.
• Monitor carrier communications and resolve issues.
• Monitor BU communications and resolve issues.
• Recommend projects to improve efficiency, payables, reduce costs, and accuracy.
• Escalate risks to mitigate them.
• Support all financial audits.
• Research GR/IR variances monthly.
• Manage multiple email boxes for invoices and aging statements.
• Communicate with stakeholders and prepare presentations.
• Additional logistics responsibilities may be assigned.
