Job summary

FedEx is hiring for a role focused on safe and efficient operation of equipment used to move packages and heavyweight freight. You will assist in pallet buildup and breakdown, and serve as a liaison with ULD repair vendors as needed.

The position requires the ability to maneuver heavy packages, work in varied weather, and communicate effectively in noisy environments. All duties are within a full-time operational context.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level.
• Able to maneuver packages above 50 lbs. with equipment or assistance.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend/squat for designated work hours.
• Able to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack above head when required.
• Able to work in all weather conditions when required.
• Able to communicate effectively in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for movement of packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs.
• Assists in buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serves as liaison between company and ULD repair vendor when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
