Job summary

FedEx is seeking a material handler to operate equipment safely for moving packages and heavy freight. You will assist in pallet build/breakdown and act as a liaison with the ULD repair vendor as needed. Other duties may be assigned.

This role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand and walk for long shifts, and work in various weather conditions while maintaining communication in a noisy environment. A valid driver’s license is often required for location-specific postings.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to communicate effectively in a noisy operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the movement of packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs.
• Assist in buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serve as liaison between company and ULD repair vendor, as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
