Job summary

Roadrunner is seeking an on-site Operations Support associate in Dallas, TX to coordinate daily freight operations, assist with driver check-ins, and ensure timely communication across drivers, operations, and customers.

You will maintain documentation accuracy, manage records, and support customer communications while backfilling during PTO and contributing to process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of administrative, logistics, transportation, operations support, customer service, or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of business English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and professional written communication.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, vendors, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Support daily freight operations by assisting driver check-in and distributing manifests to dock personnel.
• Coordinate administrative activities supporting inbound and outbound freight processing.
• Monitor workflow status and escalate issues affecting service levels or delivery timelines.
• Provide operational support to help drivers depart on schedule and meet commitments.
• Review Bills of Lading, Delivery Receipts, manifests for completeness and accuracy.
• Scan, file, and manage operational records following company procedures.
• Support document control to improve visibility, traceability, and accountability.
• Ensure data entry and administrative records are maintained accurately.
• Conduct evening pre-call activities for home delivery appointments and follow-ups.
• Communicate with customers regarding appointment scheduling and coordination.
• Serve as a reliable point of contact for inquiries; escalate issues promptly.
• Resolve OS&D freight issues and coordinate with shippers and internal teams.
• Document exceptions and provide updates to daytime OS&D personnel.
• Backfill office responsibilities during PTO and staffing coverage needs.
• Maintain organized records, reports, and files; support business continuity.
• Support additional initiatives and operational projects as assigned.
