Job summary

XPO, Inc. is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in Whites Creek, TN to lead and supervise all facets of freight operations and daily workflows.

You will manage workloads, schedules and safety compliance while driving productivity and cost efficiency. Ideal candidates have 2 years of related experience in warehouses or distribution, knowledge of LTL and DOT rules, and the ability to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the LTL industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff and be the main contact for workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals by managing tonnage, payroll and admin tasks.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily operations goals and reduce costs.
• Enforce all policies and regulations (FMCSR, OSHA, DOT).
• Train employees on safety rules and process improvements.
• Direct a team to meet or exceed productivity goals.
