Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent business experience.
• Logistics dispatch/scheduling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to solve problems under pressure with independent judgement.
• Teamwork with staff and contractors across departments.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Adaptability to change.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out shipping operations with dispatchers and fleet managers.
• Develop daily operating plan focused on KPI achievement.
• Evaluate current plan and create future plans for payload and on-time deliveries.
• Collaborate with Scheduling Team Leader(s) on growth opportunities for KAG assets.
• Adjust current plans to maximize growth, efficiency and safety.
• Solicit new and existing customers for freight opportunities.
• Update sourcing as changes occur and revise plans for efficiency.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere to meet company demands.
• Communicate effectively with customers, drivers and other departments.
• Manage day-to-day operations of up to 75 drivers.
• Coordinate maintenance with Terminal Managers and Lead Technicians.
