Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) in North Canton, OH is seeking a Transportation Planner/Operations Lead to streamline freight processes, reduce shipping time, and maximize loads across cargo types. You will plan, coordinate, and optimize transportation services using judgment to boost efficiency.

Responsibilities include partnering with dispatchers and fleet managers, developing daily operating plans, and managing up to 75 drivers while collaborating with scheduling leaders for growth and safety

Qualifications

• Ability to solve problems and work in high pressure situations with independent judgment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and positive attitude.
• Familiarity with Microsoft and logistics software for operations planning.

Responsibilities

• Partner with dispatchers and fleet managers to plan and carry out shipping operations.
• Develop daily operating plan with emphasis on KPI achievement.
• Evaluate operating plans to improve payload, on-time deliveries, and loaded mileage.
• Collaborate daily with Scheduling Team Leaders to identify growth opportunities for KAG assets.
• Adjust plans to maximize growth, efficiency, and safety; solicit new freight opportunities.
• Communicate with customers, drivers, dispatchers, and other departments for smooth operation.
• Manage day-to-day operations of up to 75 drivers; coordinate maintenance with Terminal Managers.
