Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in a related field preferred.
• 2+ years in transportation coordination, freight brokerage, or dispatching.
• Familiarity with TMS software and load boards (DAT, Truckstop).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Understand freight operations, carrier networks, and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight across multiple modes.
• Source and secure third-party carriers to meet deadlines.
• Negotiate freight rates and confirm carrier availability.
• Monitor shipments and resolve delays or service issues.
• Ensure documentation (BOLs, PODs, rate confirmations) is complete.
• Maintain carrier/load information in TMS and systems.
• Track and communicate shipment updates to stakeholders.
• Build relationships with shippers, carriers, and 3PL partners.
• Analyze freight spend and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Comply with DOT, FMCSA, and company policies.
