Job summary

CS Recruiting, a Hirewell company, in Olathe, KS, is seeking a Freight Brokerage Sales Representative to develop shipper relationships, secure capacity, and manage the full cradle-to-grave freight process. This onsite role requires strong sales and negotiation skills to grow a profitable book of business.

You will negotiate rates, coordinate tender-to-delivery, track shipments, and service customers and carriers in a fast-paced environment. A base salary plus commission is offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage cradle-to-grave freight process.

Responsibilities

• Develop new shipper relationships through cold calling, networking, referrals, and other sales efforts.
• Build and maintain strong carrier relationships to secure reliable truckload capacity.
• Manage the full freight lifecycle from customer acquisition and onboarding through delivery and ongoing account growth.
• Negotiate buy and sell rates to maximize profitability and maintain competitive pricing.
• Coordinate freight execution from tender through final delivery.
• Track shipments and proactively resolve service issues.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and carriers.
• Maintain accurate load information within the TMS and brokerage systems.
• Monitor load profitability and manage margin performance.
• Grow and retain a profitable book of business.
• Meet established revenue, gross profit, load volume, and customer satisfaction goals.

Experience:

• Experience in freight brokerage, logistics, transportation sales, or a related industry preferred.
• Strong sales, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage the full cradle-to-grave freight process, including sales, carrier procurement, operations, and customer service.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of truckload freight and carrier capacity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
