Job summary

KBX Logistics is seeking an Accounts Payable – Freight Auditor to ensure accurate freight invoice auditing and payment processes. You will audit invoices, resolve carrier billing issues, and support month-end accruals while applying strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

The Freight Audit Team handles 4,000–6,000 carrier invoices, driving cost savings and process improvements. You will educate carriers and customers on contracts and billing to streamline operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable or auditing or financial administration.
• Experience communicating with external partners, carriers or customers.
• Experience using Excel to review, analyze, and interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Audit blocked freight invoices for all modes – duties including: resolving rate, fuel, stop, and additional charge issues.
• Process and log carrier statement bills for dedicated fleets and trailer rentals.
• Manage Auto-Pay Carriers, onboarding and training, and timely problem resolution.
• Review carrier statements and resolve open invoices and outstanding balances.
• Ensure carrier invoicing is compliant with KBX Logistics contracts and pricing policies.
• Monitor open loads to reduce the manual accrual for month-end; prepare month-end accruals as needed.
• Advise, educate, and coach carriers and customers regarding carrier contracts and freight invoicing.
• Promote continuous communication with carriers to minimize billing errors.
