Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a warehouse associate to transport freight, operate forklifts and material handling equipment in a dock environment in Minnesota. The role includes verifying documentation, securing loads, and assisting customers, with a starting pay of $21.16 per hour and range up to $24.75.

Work is in a fast-paced, sometimes hazardous environment; must be at least 18 with a high school diploma preferred. Eligible for standard FedEx benefits for hourly employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience in warehousing, freight handling and/or forklift operations preferred.
• Hostler/yard mule duties experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry hand freight up to 100 pounds multiple times daily; lift dock plates ~75 pounds.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, push/pull freight during shift.
• Previous dock/warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck as needed.
• Verify freight documentation matches description (type, weight, hazmat).
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Follow all laws, regulations, and company procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
