Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a dock associate responsible for loading/unloading freight, securing cargo, and inspecting equipment. You will accurately record freight conditions on arrival and perform pre/post-shift equipment checks.

The role requires ability to work all shifts, weekend hours, and maintain dependable attendance. Prior forklift experience or certification is preferred, along with a solid work history in transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years old.
• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Prior operation of a forklift or forklift certification preferred.
• Must be able to lift approx. 70 lbs.
• Able to interact well with others and work independently.
• Able to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Properly load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight as it arrives at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
• Regular attendance is required.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
