Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a dock associate to load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand at the service center. You will strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage and accurately record the condition of freight on arrival.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-shift equipment inspections, regular attendance, and the ability to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends. A pre-employment drug screen and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Requires H.S. diploma or GED or equivalent
• Must be 17+ years old
• Experience in transportation industry preferred
• Stable employment history preferred
• Prior forklift operation or certification preferred
• Can push/pull loaded pallet jack/hand truck with minimum 70 lbs
• Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, twisting, etc.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand
• Brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting
• Record freight conditions accurately upon arrival at service center
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment
• Ability to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
