Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking a dock worker to load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand. You will strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage and accurately record its condition on arrival at the service center.

The role requires clear attention to safety, the ability to perform pre- and post-shift equipment inspections, and reliable attendance with flexibility for overtime and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 17+ years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Prior forklift operation or certification preferred.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
• Able to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight as it arrives at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
• Maintain regular attendance and be willing to work overtime and weekends.
