Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a dock worker to load and unload freight using forklift and manual tools. You will strap, brace, and pad cargo to prevent damage while recording condition reports on arrival at the terminal. Pre- and post-shift inspections of dock equipment are required, along with regular attendance.

This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work various shifts as needed. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and be at least 17 years old; forklift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent background
• Minimum 17 years of age
• Experience in the transportation industry preferred
• Prior forklift operation or forklift certification preferred
• Ability to push/pull a loaded pallet jack and/or hand truck with a minimum load of 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, or by hand
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting
• Record the condition of freight on arrival at the terminal
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment
• Maintain regular attendance and reliability
