Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a dock associate to load/unload freight using forklift equipment and handle pallet jacks or hand trucks. You will strap and pad freight, document its condition on arrival, and conduct routine dock equipment inspections.

The role requires standing, lifting, twisting and the ability to work all shifts including overtime. A positive safety record and ability to work under time constraints are essential for success.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Experience in transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Prior forklift operation or forklift certification preferred.
• Must be able to push/pull a loaded pallet jack and/or hand truck with a minimum load of 70 lbs.
• Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting, twisting, turning, etc.
• Must be able to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends; dependable.
• Must be able to lift ~70 lbs., or more if required by essential functions.
• Must comply with company policies and code of conduct.
• Must interact well with others; work independently or in a team; handle high priorities under time constraints.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check; authorized to work in the United States.

Aufgaben

• Properly load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight as it arrives at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned as needed.
