Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking a dock associate to load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand. You will strap and pad freight to prevent damage and record freight conditions as it arrives at the service center.

Responsibilities include pre/post-shift inspections and working all shifts, including overtime and weekends. A High School diploma or GED is required, and forklift experience or certification is preferred. Lifting 70 lbs and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Prior operation of a forklift or forklift certification preferred.
• Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight as it arrives at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment.
• Must be able to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends; dependable.
