Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a dock team member to safely load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, or hand truck. You will strap and pad freight to prevent damage and accurately record the freight condition on arrival at the service center.

You must be 17+ years old with a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent). The role requires standing, walking, lifting and the ability to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Must be 17+ years of age
• Experience in transportation industry preferred
• Must be able to push/pull a loaded pallet jack or hand truck with a minimum load of 70 lbs
• Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting, twisting, turning, etc.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting
• Record the condition of freight as it arrives at the service center
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment
• Regular attendance is required
• Employee may be asked to perform other duties as assigned under safety/operational needs
