Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a dock worker to load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, or manual handling. You will strap and pad cargo to prevent damage, and accurately document freight conditions as it arrives at the service center.

The role requires the ability to lift 70 lbs, pass pre-employment screenings, and work various shifts plus overtime. Dependability and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years old.
• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Prior operation of a forklift or certification preferred.
• Able to lift and move at least 70 lbs.
• Able to work all shifts, overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight on arrival at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment.
• Maintain regular attendance and reliability.
• Perform any other duties as assigned as needed.
