Job summary

TLD Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee dispatch and driver coordination for freight transfers. You will schedule drivers, ensure on-time deliveries, and maintain continuous communication with customers and internal teams.

The role requires strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills, plus familiarity with MS Office. On-site work at customer locations in Crossville, TN is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in logistics or transportation.
• Associate’s Degree or above preferred.
• 1 year experience in a supervisor or equivalent role (preferred).
• Located within 25 mi of Crossville, TN.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent geographical knowledge.
• Detail oriented and able to focus and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers and commercial vehicles for conveyance of materials or freight based on customers’ needs and expectations.
• Maintain communication throughout the delivery process from assignment to receipt by customer.
• Coordinate dispatch needs with multiple terminals and monitor trailer pools.
• Update and maintain customer statistics and reports.
• Enter trip details for processing driver payroll and review routes with accounting.
