Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative to deliver frontline support to internal and external customers. You will handle inquiries, track shipments, and resolve issues while coordinating with drivers and the sales team.

The role requires 1–2 years of customer-facing experience, strong communication skills, and proficient PC use. AS400 is preferred but not required; HS diploma or GED is welcomed. On-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a role requiring extensive customer interaction.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong PC proficiency, MS Office, and data entry.
• AS400 experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt customer support; listen and resolve questions and problems to exceed expectations.
• Answer inbound calls, provide customer service and order management to OHFL customers, drivers, and internal sales.
• Trace freight and use troubleshooting skills to locate lost, late, or misdirected shipments.
• Complete dispatch pickup calls to schedule freight arrivals per customer requirements.
• Develop positive relationships with customers and expand freight opportunities where possible.
• Enter data into OHFL systems and use information to respond to questions and problems.
• Perform general office duties.
