Job summary

England Logistics is seeking a Business Development Manager to fuel growth of its independent freight agent network. You will be the first point of contact for experienced agents, blending sales, recruiting, and consulting to help them grow profitability and serve customers better.

This role emphasizes sourcing, building relationships, and closing deals within a fast-growing division, with base plus uncapped commissions and strong onboarding support.

Qualifications

• Background in B2B sales, business development and/or recruiting.
• Hunter mentality with strong consultative selling and relationship-building instincts.
• Excellent phone presence and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort and confidence on LinkedIn and social media.
• Ability to influence decision-makers and close deals.
• Sharp organizational skills and CRM discipline.
• Freight brokerage, transportation, logistics, or supply chain experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build your pipeline by proactively sourcing independent freight agents and recruiting through outbound prospecting (LinkedIn, social media, industry networks).
• Consult, influence, and close by leading discovery conversations and guiding prospects from first contact to signed agreement.
• Own your funnel with a healthy pipeline and track activity/metrics in CRM, hitting monthly recruiting and onboarding targets.
• Partner with Agent Services and onboarding teams to ensure a smooth transition for new agents.
