Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Sales Representative for Freight Brokerage in Plano, TX. You will build and manage a pipeline of new customer opportunities through outbound prospecting, and grow existing accounts to maximize margins in a dynamic logistics environment.

You will negotiate rates and terms to deliver cost-effective freight solutions while protecting GEODIS margin. The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and customer-service focus, with a track record of handling multiple prospects

Qualifications

• Drive to succeed with strong verbal communication
• Strong negotiation skills
• Exceptional customer service focus
• Willingness to make a minimum of 50 outbound sales calls per day
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Follow established processes and contribute improvements
• Excellent organizational and scheduling skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Prior freight brokerage experience and TMS familiarity preferred
• 3PL experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains a pipeline of new customer opportunities through consistent outbound prospecting
• Manages and grows existing accounts to maximize margin abilities
• Negotiates rates and terms that deliver cost-effective logistics solutions for customers while protecting GEODIS margin
• Applies business development skills to identify, qualify, and develop relationships with new business prospects
• Monitors market conditions and business trends to identify opportunities to grow margins
• Tracks all sales activity, opportunities, and account history in the CRM
• Maintains reliable communications with sales team and customer to support and resolve any problems
• Understands and supports the goals, policies, and procedures of GEODIS
