Job summary

Swift Transportation is seeking an experienced Freight Broker to negotiate freight rates and manage carrier partnerships in Phoenix, AZ. The role requires a minimum of three years in brokerage or related transportation fields and a proven sales or customer service background.

Eligible candidates will have knowledge of 3PL, TMS systems, and MS Office tools. The position offers a 401k, medical benefits, and bonus potential; schedule is Mon-Fri, 6am-4pm, on site at 2200 S 75th Ave, Phoenix.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years brokerage-related/transportation experience or three years in sales, inside sales, or customer service
• Knowledge of transportation and 3PL
• Strong results orientation with entrepreneurial drive
• Familiar with TMS, brokerage systems, and MS Office/A.S.400 tools
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills

Responsibilities

• Negotiate freight rates for the Logistics Division and optimize carrier relationships
• Respond to capacity requirements and market changes with rate adjustments as needed
• Deliver on growth and profitability targets
• Analyze freight market to maximize profit per transaction
• Negotiate rates with carriers and customers; manage the end-to-end process from buy to delivery
