Job summary

24-MAG LLC offers a fully remote freelance consulting role for experienced US-based Inpatient Medical Coders. You will review inpatient records, assess diagnostic and procedural coding accuracy, and evaluate AI-generated documentation to improve AI training in clinical coding.

The ideal candidate holds CCS/CIC/COC/RHIA/RHIT credentials, has substantial inpatient coding experience, and can work at least 10 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Active professional coding certification (CCS, CIC, COC, RHIA, or RHIT).
• Substantial inpatient coding experience.
• Strong ICD-10 principles knowledge and application.
• Practical CPT and HCPCS knowledge.
• Reviewing complex records and interpreting diagnostic/procedural information.
• Identifying coding discrepancies and data accuracy opportunities.
• Familiarity with ICD-10/CPT references and E/M guidelines.
• Experience with EHRs, medical record databases, or coding software.
• Clear, precise written coding explanations.
• Ability to work remotely and independently.
