Job summary

Brex in Seattle is seeking a Fraud Strategy Associate to own the end-to-end integrity of our fraud and risk ecosystem across credit, deposits, and card rails. You’ll design detection logic, build automations, and partner with Risk, Data Science, Engineering, and Product to weave prevention into the product itself.

We operate in a hybrid setup with three in-office days per week and up to four weeks of remote work annually, and require 3+ years in fraud strategy or related roles with strong

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fraud strategy, risk operations, or data-driven business operations within fintech or financial services.
• Proficiency with SQL and/or Python for data wrangling, modeling, and automation.
• Ability to build scalable processes and manage complex projects end-to-end.
• Excellent communication skills to translate analytics into executive strategies.

Responsibilities

• Data-driven detection: mine data, design patterns, and implement automated fraud controls across credit, deposits, and card rails.
• Strategic collaboration: partner with Risk, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, and Product to embed fraud prevention in the product lifecycle.
• Metrics and reporting: define KPIs, build executive dashboards, and perform post-mortems to quantify impact and drive improvements.
