Job summary

Affirm is seeking a senior analytics-focused Fraud role to own depository product fraud performance in a remote-friendly setting. You will partner with Product, Engineering, ML, Data Eng, Fraud Ops, and Risk to refine identity verification and fraud processes and enhance the application flow.

You will build data pipelines, dashboards, and monitoring to track fraud losses, approval rates, and false positives, while developing rules and strategies to balance risk and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of analytics experience.
• Fluent in SQL and Python.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, ML, Data Eng, Fraud Ops, and Risk.

Responsibilities

• Own fraud performance for depository products, monitoring losses, approval rates, false positives, and customer friction.
• Build and maintain scalable data models and transformation pipelines; standardize depository product, transaction, customer, fraud, and operational data.
• Define trusted fraud performance metrics and datasets; develop dashboards, scorecards, and monitoring frameworks.
• Diagnose fraud losses, control gaps, and portfolio shifts; translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Develop and optimize fraud rules, policies, thresholds, models, and decision strategies.
• Evaluate new data sources to improve detection of identity risk, device risk, and other fraud typologies.
