Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Store Lead for the LI-COMMACK, NY location. You will lead a team of framers, coach selling behaviors, and drive custom framing sales while maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, KPI achievement, inventory and safety programs, and serving as Manager on Duty. This role requires strong leadership in a fast-paced retail framing environment with flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Previous custom framing experience is preferred.
• Retail management experience.
• Experience leading a sales team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements; ensure execution of policies and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time by planning workload with the Store Manager.
• Achieve KPI’s and manage the framing team to meet their KPI’s.
• Review sales and production workload and build plans and sales floor time for networking.
• Manage inventory processes and shrink and safety programs.
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing and training of new team members; support Talent Development; participate in Performance Mgmt activities.
• Partner with MODs on framing expectations; maintain a positive, respectful work environment.
