Job summary

Cherry Health seeks an Optician to assist patients in selecting frames, verify orders, and handle dispensing of eyewear. You will verify patient data, insurance eligibility, and ensure accurate lens material and style selection.

The position involves taking measurements, processing orders, and maintaining compliance with CH policies. Evening or weekend availability may be required as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must enroll in Optician training program within 6 months of start and complete within one year.
• CPR certification required.
• Ophthalmic and/or sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in frame selection.
• Verify patient information.
• Verify insurance eligibility.
• Enter orders for glasses and contacts.
• Submit orders to insurance websites.
• Take payments and provide pricing.
• Notify patient of glasses arrival and arrange fittings.
• Perform eyeglass adjustments and repairs.
• Educate patients on usage and care of glasses and contacts.
