Job summary

Osmo's QC function is being built from the ground up. The Senior QC Technician will run testing on raw materials and finished fragrance, applying olfactive judgment beyond automated testing, and will make real-time accept/reject decisions.

You will cover QC sign-offs when the QC Manager is unavailable to keep finished-goods flowing. On-site in Elizabeth, NJ, you will work with GC/MS, photosampler, and other lab instrumentation, mentor QC staff, and collaborate with Purchasing, Warehouse,

Qualifications

• Fragrance industry experience or exposure required.
• On-site in Elizabeth, NJ, 5 days a week.
• Strong documentation habits.
• Able to make high-frequency accept/reject calls independently.
• Trained nose with sensory evaluation skills.

Responsibilities

• Judge raw material test results and decide defects vs normal variation.
• Apply olfactive judgment to evaluate materials and goods.
• Run triangulation testing to confirm batch consistency.
• Make real-time accept/reject calls and escalate only ambiguous cases.
• Cover QC sign-off when the QC Manager is away.
• Maintain and calibrate GC/MS, photosampler, and other lab instruments.
• Keep audit-ready records and certificates of analysis.
• Mentor QC staff on fragrance testing.
• Coordinate sample flow with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Fragrance Development.
