Job summary

Osmo is seeking a QC Technician to join the fragrance quality-control team in Elizabeth, NJ. You will judge raw material results, apply olfactive judgment, and perform triangulation testing to ensure outgoing products meet specifications.

You will make real-time accept/reject calls, cover QC sign-off when the manager is unavailable, and maintain instrumentation like GC/MS, photosampler, and colorimeters while keeping audit-ready records.

Qualifications

• Fragrance industry experience or exposure required.
• Strong documentation habits.
• Comfortable making high-frequency accept/reject calls independently.

Responsibilities

• Judge incoming raw material results from automated testing, deciding when an out-of-spec reading is a real defect versus normal variation in a natural material.
• Apply sensory olfactive judgment to evaluate raw materials and finished goods.
• Run triangulation testing on outgoing product to confirm it matches prior batches before it reaches a customer.
• Make accept/reject calls in real time, escalate only genuinely ambiguous cases to the QC Manager.
• Cover QC sign-off when the QC Manager is unavailable, keeping finished-good flow moving.
• Maintain and run lab instrumentation (GC/MS, photosampler, flash point testing, colorimeters), including calibration checks.
• Maintain audit-ready lab records: test logs, certificates of analysis, and equipment records.
