Job summary

CesiumAstro seeks an FPGA Verification Engineer II to advance verification of FPGA/digital designs for satellites and aerospace applications. You will build and maintain UVMf-based testbenches, integrate DPI-C with MATLAB and Python models, and drive reusable VIP modules.

You will mentor peers, collaborate with senior leadership, and contribute to CI/regression strategies while staying aligned with industry best practices and clocking in on-site roles in El Segundo, CA.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of verification and automation experience.
• Knowledge of FPGA design verification techniques including VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, C/C++, SystemC, UVM/UVMf, DPI-C, TLM, Formal CDC and DPI.
• Proficiency with Linux and vendor FPGA development tools (Xilinx).
• Familiarity with CI, regression testing and hardware-in-the-loop testing.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to evaluation and implementation of FPGA and digital design verification.
• Develop CI and regression testing infrastructure and tooling.
• Build state-of-the-art UVMf top‑level and module testbenches with DPIC integration and MATLAB/Python models.
• Lead development of reusable VIP modules.
• Mentor engineers on UVMf testbenches and FPGA/digital design practices.
• Collaborate with vendors to define future model deliverables and align with roadmaps.
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices in FPGA/digital design.
