RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Digital Electrical Engineer II to design and develop next-generation CCAs and FPGA-based solutions using AMD, Altera, and Microchip architectures. You will collaborate with systems, mechanical, and software engineers across the full lifecycle from concept to production.

The role requires a Master’s in Electrical Engineering, hands-on HDL coding and test-equipment experience, and eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related STEM, obtained by start date.
• Experience or coursework with Digital Electronics, Circuit Design/Analysis, Digital Design, or HDL coding targeting configurable logic devices.
• Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs) for circuit characterization, debugging, and validation.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify digital architecture, circuit card designs, and FPGA implementations for configurable logic devices.
• Model digital algorithms, partition design functions, and write high-reliability code for embedded processing systems.
• Perform component selection, schematic capture, circuit simulation, and collaborate on physical layout and routing.
• Integrate and validate hardware designs in a laboratory environment using advanced test instrumentation against requirements.
• Maintain design documentation, reports, and configuration management throughout the lifecycle.
• Support engineering activities from customer requirements through production release.
