Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Digital Electrical Engineer I to design and develop next-generation circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and FPGA-based solutions using AMD, Altera, and Microchip architectures. You will work in an agile, cross-functional team across the full lifecycle from concept to production release.

You will model digital algorithms, perform verification, and contribute to hardware integration with systems, mechanical, and software engineers in a space where security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field, obtained by start date.
• Experience or coursework in Digital Electronics, Circuit Design/Analysis, Digital Design, or HDL coding for configurable logic devices.
• Experience with electronic test/measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs) for characterization and validation.
• Experience may be gained via on-the-job work, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify digital architecture, circuit card designs, and FPGA implementations for configurable logic devices.
• Model digital algorithms, partition design functions, and write high-reliability code for embedded systems.
• Perform component selection, schematic capture, circuit simulation, and collaborate on layout/routing.
• Integrate and validate hardware designs in a lab with advanced test equipment against system requirements.
• Maintain design documentation, reports, and configuration artifacts throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support engineering activities from customer requirements through production release.
