Job summary

RTX in the United States (US-AZ-TUCSON) is seeking a Digital Design Engineer to design, simulate, and verify FPGA/ASIC hardware for weapon system products in the Effector Digital Products department. This onsite role requires the ability to obtain an interim security clearance and possibly a DoD Secret clearance, with a salary range of 68,900–131,100 USD per year.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field by start date.
• Coursework in circuit design, digital electronics, lab coursework, PCB design and signal integrity.

Responsibilities

• Hardware Design: Writing, simulating, synthesizing, and verifying digital hardware design using VHDL or Verilog.
• System Integration: Supporting integration of digital designs with subsystems, including analog electronics, software, and mechanical components.
• Testing and Validation: Conducting testing and debugging of digital hardware with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and test benches.
• Collaboration: Working with multidisciplinary teams to meet design requirements and ensure product performance.
• Documentation and Process Adherence: Producing design specs, validation reports, and test procedures per engineering standards.
