Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Effector Digital Products group to develop FPGA designs across Xilinx, Intel, Microchip, and Lattice using VHDL or Verilog. You’ll work with hardware and systems teams on RF DSP, data links, and embedded processing.

Responsibilities span from requirements definition through integration and test; designs are documented and managed throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM major obtained by start date.
• Demonstrated experience with digital design and VHDL or Verilog coding.
• Familiarity with Xilinx, Altera or Microsemi/Microchip FPGAs.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Responsibilities

• Work with circuit card designers and systems engineers to develop requirements and architecture.
• Code, simulate, and place and route FPGA designs; verify against requirements.
• Provide design support from requirements through integration and test.
• Document and configuration manage throughout the design process.
