Job summary

Boeing Future of Flight is seeking a contract FPGA engineer for a 6-month assignment in El Segundo, CA. The contractor will inherit FPGA top-level design, create new blocks, and integrate IP cores, using Xilinx Versal/Ultrascale devices.

Responsibilities include timing closure, synthesis, and constraint updates, plus collaboration with the system engineering team to ensure a fully functioning integrated hardware/system solution. Strong Verilog/SystemVerilog skills required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of FPGA design experience.
• Strong Xilinx/AMD Vivado experience.
• Verilog/SystemVerilog proficiency.
• Advanced FPGA implementation skills (synthesis, timing closure, constraints)
• 5+ years of FPGA and/or ASIC design experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes customer and system requirements to develop architectural approaches and detailed specifications for electronic products.
• Inherits FPGA top-level design and adds new functional blocks and interfaces, including integrating third-party and in-house IP cores.
• Programs FPGA devices, primarily from Xilinx Versal, Ultrascale, and Ultrascale+ families.
• Collaborates closely with the system engineering team to support hardware and software system integration and testing.
• Investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs.
