Job summary

InfluxData is seeking a Director of Finance to own FP&A and finance operations, reporting to the CFO. The role shapes financial strategy, drives budgeting, forecasting, and analytics, and partners with executives to optimize growth and margins.

You’ll lead cloud spend optimization, pricing governance with Sales, and KPI dashboards while enabling data-driven decision making across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
• MBA or CFA preferred.
• 15+ years FP&A/Finance Operations experience in private and public companies.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure pricing and services and their impact on COGS/margins.
• Experience applying AI-driven insights to improve planning, reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts with data-driven insights for CFO/Board.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team with strategic input.
• Oversee FinOps and cloud spend, vendor contracts, and margin optimization.
• Partner with Sales on deal strategy, pricing, incentives and quotas.
• Develop dashboards tracking core KPIs and unit economics for efficiency.
• Leverage AI analytics to forecast and automate finance workflows.
• Support the CFO on executive materials, QBRs, investor reporting.
