Qualifications

It is the responsibility of the Fountain Worker to provide prompt, efficient and courteous service while displaying salesmanship and friendly hospitality skills.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Take and place order(s) and serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in the work area as applicable.
• Collect money while following all proper cash handling and compensation procedures.
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation and appearance of the front and back of house, clear tables and counters; sweep and keep the dining area clean without interfering with the comfort of guests.
• Pack and complete order per guest preferences with any necessary condiments.
• Properly label and date products per safety and sanitation procedures.
• Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment.
• Unload warehouse orders and stock to designated storage, maintaining organization, replenishing products as needed in workstation, counters, tables, etc.
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items or alleged theft.
• Perform other job‑related duties as requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of menu items, including mixing and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, supplies and equipment.
• Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment, including toasters, refrigerators and coolers, slicers and beverage machines.
• Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations.
• Basic computer skills and experience with varied Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to handle multiple types of information and/or perform multiple tasks.
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
