Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a furnace operator in South Gate, CA to perform pre-operative checks, set up and operate vacuum arc melting furnaces, and maintain equipment while following strict safety guidelines and company policies.

The role requires mechanical aptitude and ability to work in a team. The position involves handling heavy components, operating furnaces and related systems, and supporting maintenance cycles.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or additional training preferred.
• 3 years of working experience in a relevant environment.
• Vacuum Arc titanium melting experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Follow standard manufacturing and operating procedures.
• Perform pre-operative checks prior to and during pump down cycle.
• Set up and operate the furnace(s) for melting.
• Inspect electrodes and prepare for melting.
• Bleed water and vacuum system; maintain records and logs.
• Operate furnace controls and instrumentation; load/unload ingots.
• Maintain equipment and assist other departments as production demands.
