Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products Corp. in Albany, OR is seeking a Furnace Operator to operate and maintain a titanium casting furnace to produce castings or ingots.

The role includes loading, MIG welding, precise documentation, and adherence to safety and procedures. Training is provided, with a weekend grave shift featuring a $2.50/hour differential, and a strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and life insurance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required, but relevant experience will be considered
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to perform basic arithmetic
• Mechanically inclined
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Production operation experience preferred
• MIG welding experience helpful
• Must be able to use basic computer functions

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains titanium casting furnace.
• MIG weld electrodes to be used for the casting process.
• Complete all tracking and documentation as required.
• Adhere to all department and company procedures and policies.
• Load molds in burnout ovens.
• Train casting helpers.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Participate in safety improvement through observations and teamwork events.
• Be accountable for working safely by following all safety rules.
• Meets established production rates consistent with quality expectations.
• Assists with general departmental clean-up which may include sweeping and shoveling of debris.
• Other duties as assigned.
