Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Foundry Engineering Lead to act as the technical authority for our Foundry implementation, guiding architecture, data governance, and long-term platform strategy. You will mentor engineers, set standards, and drive the data infrastructure to scale with the business.

The role combines hands-on engineering with leadership, focusing on secure, reliable pipelines, ontology and data models, and collaboration with Operations, Platform, Product, and Commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Deep Foundry expertise including ontology modelling, pipeline development, data architecture.
• Proven experience providing technical leadership—setting architectural direction and mentoring engineers.
• Strong Python experience with data engineering frameworks (Spark, PySpark, Dask, pandas).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of Foundry implementation for scalability, security and data integrity.
• Define technical strategy for Foundry development aligned with data roadmap.
• Act as technical authority on Foundry across the organisation and own platform evolution.
• Mentor engineers and analysts, enforce standards and best practices.
• Design scalable data pipelines ingesting data from multiple sources and build data models.
• Establish data contracts, documentation, and semantic layers for self-service analytics.
