Job summary

Nscale is seeking a senior Foundry Engineering Lead in Houston to serve as the technical authority for our Palantir Foundry implementation. You will guide architecture, governance, and the core data platform powering internal operations, workflows, and customer-facing capabilities.

You will mentor engineers, define standards, and drive the technical roadmap as the platform scales, collaborating with Operations, Platform Engineering, Product, and Commercial teams to deliver reliable, scalable

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on Palantir Foundry expertise including ontology modelling, pipeline development, data architecture.
• Proven technical leadership: setting architectural direction, mentoring engineers, defining data engineering standards.
• Strong Python proficiency with Spark, PySpark, Dask, and pandas for large datasets.
• Experience with API-driven data integration (REST/GraphQL) and Foundry Actions APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of Foundry implementation ensuring scalability and data integrity.
• Define technical strategy for Foundry development aligned with data roadmap.
• Act as technical authority for Foundry across the organization and own platform evolution.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in data modelling and pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and analysts to raise technical capability and quality.
• Design and build scalable data pipelines ingesting data from multiple sources.
• Define data models, schemas, and ontologies to support workflows.
• Create trusted datasets and metrics powering internal and customer-facing insights.
• Establish data contracts, documentation, and semantic layers for self-service analytics.
• Collaborate with Product and Commercial teams to translate business questions into data solutions.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and governance across systems.
